Mandy Webster

My name is Mandy Webster, and I like to write. I have considered myself a serious writer since I was a kid writing short stories and children’s books in my “gifted” writing class. I have been writing professionally since 2009.

I possess a unique mix of business and writing experience that I know will make me a valuable asset to any project I take on. I have a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration as well as a Master of Science in Business Management and am currently pursuing a Master of Arts in English with a concentration in professional writing at Mount Mary College.

I am currently making a living as an adjunct instructor at Moraine Park Technical College where I teach a variety of courses, including Business Technology and Innovation, Business Communication, and Team Building/Problem Solving. I also teach Composition I at ITT Technical Institute. 

I am a believer in lifelong learning, and I enjoy sharing the knowledge I have gained with my students and on the World Wide Web while also continuing my own education.  

In my "spare time," I am writing a fantasy novel and sharing the details of my writing exploits on my blog, Write On the World. I also have a couple of children's poems I am shopping around in the hopes of publishing them as picture books.

In addition to my love of writing, I also have a passion for social media and other tools required for marketing the small business in the digital age. 

I regularly participate in a variety of digital marketing and public relations activities ranging from creating and optimizing websites and blogs for small businesses and non-profit organizations to building my own professional “brand” via my online portfolio, blog, and social media outlets. 

I have experience with conducting web research and using analytical tools such as Google Adwords for effective keyword management. I also write the occasional press release, blog post, or social media update list for contract.
